Euphoria is what we felt when we saw this beautiful cria in the pictures that Rich and Lynda sent us of Fudge's new little baby, so we felt that would be a wonderful name for her!
She is a gorgeous, solid, dark bay black (quite possibly True Black) girl by the VERY handsome herdsire Catero (who is a son of Accoyo Augusto, Holds the record as highest selling Huacaya Alpaca selling to Five Star Alpacas for $226,000.00 in 2000!!). Catero is 1/2 Accoyo and has large boning and dense, crimpy fiber (19 microns!). His wins include Reserve Champion at the AOBA National show. This makes Euphoria a 1/4 Accoyo, full peruvian girl. She has straight conformation and a beautiful head with big, dark and expressive eyes. Her fiber is already showing crimp and is a yummy fine texture all the way down to her toes. We are very excited to see how this little girl matures and are thrilled she is of such beautiful color!

Here is an example of her fleece, picture taken on 4-6-06. Her staple length is good at around 4 1/2 inches and her brightness is superior! When you open her fleece up it is a very dark black so we might find she is actually True Black after she is shorn this spring. We plan on showing her fall of 2006.
